My sister-in-law gave me a copy of Orange Terrace for my birthday. I had just finished a couple of tough reads and was looking for something fun, light and catchy. This was perfect for that!! I read it in about 3 days of ariplane rides and hotel nights and looked forward to picking it up each time. While being an easy read, it was also a good mystery, with little hints along the way and many suspects. I thought I knew the culprit about half way in and was disappointed that I had it so early — and I was completely wrong!!

Living in Atlanta for 24 years, I also enjoyed the southern flavor and the references to Macon. My company did business for many years with the hospital that is modeled in the story and I loved the CEO’s (Don Floyd) comments on the back of the jacket: “I didn’t do it!”

If you are looking for the next Gone With the Wind or Pillars of the Earth, this isn’t it, but not every read has to be an epic. I really enjoyed it and hope you will too.
