About the story (from the cover)
On the edge of Macon’s historic district stands a row of old houses on a street named Orange Terrace. When straw man Sam Hooper sets out to purchase the properties to expand the sprawling medical complex, he runs headlong into owners with shadowy bonds that date back decades. One of Sam’s clients is found face down in his hot tub; then another dies mysteriously. Business gets personal when Sam begins dating the beautiful daughter of another resident. A routine project suddenly spins out of control as Sam learns that wrinkles and weak memories cannot mask wicked choices made back in the day.
